While Mother Rests!!

This image reminds me of  a very 

 precious time in my life

when my children were just

little tykes, scampering and

playinng all over the house. 

 I can remember sitting down

to take a break from my

busy housework and picking up

the newspaper but instead of reading,

I was more interested in watching

my little ones playing  together!

They are older now,

but we still find the time to

make tents with chairs and blankets,

creating papier mache with

flour, water, and newspaper, 

fixing teddybear pancakes for the girls 

and now football pancakes for the boys

(they've outgrown the teddy bears and rabbits)! 

They are growing up so fast and as

I try to hold on to every precious minute, 

one day, I know I will turn around and

they will be gone and living their own lives. 

 I think we'll have pancakes for supper tonight!

Remember...
 today is the day to slow down and relax!!

Pack a  picnic basket

pick flowers,

and play with your friends!

Read a good book

and contemplate the universe!

Think of someone who makes 
 you laugh until you cry!

Wear silly clothes and ride
a bicycle with one wheel!

Get all dressed up and take a few friends
for a ride in a really cool car!!
